RF / EMC Test Dsign Engineer

An opening, in the Bose Corporation’s Shenzen office, is available in Bose’s Corporate R&D Operations organization for a person with RF/EMC compliance test experience and a desire to apply that experience to new product development. As a member of Bose’s team of product development experts, you will work with engineers at Bose and at our vendors to ensure the quality and reliability of Bose’s products. This is an exciting opportunity to have a direct impact on the design and delivery of world-leading audio solutions, while working in an innovative and technically stimulating environment.



Job Description:

Provide strong technical support and consultation to local third party RF/EMC test labs, in order to obtain detailed and properly measured results that are consistent with electronic industry test standards and test methodologies used by the Design Compliance Engineering group in Framingham, MA USA.

Support home entertainment design engineers in the Bose Corporation Shenzhen office by working with vendors to ensure validation test methods and product requirements are understood and agreed upon with vendors. Track progress and witness validation testing at vendor locations ensuring accurate results.

Conduct standardized and repeatable audio measuring test methods and procedures in support of new product hardware development. Use expertise in test methods to train test engineers and technicians on proper test execution and equipment operation to maintain consistency and accuracy in test results among the various third party test labs.

Prepare, review and approve test reports that accurately document test conditions, samples results and findings.

Perform testing as needed to support projects from Bose’s Home Entertainment division. You will schedule, setup, and conduct testing on diverse new and existing Bose products. Troubleshoot and perform analysis of RF/EMC test failures leading to root cause determination of failure.

Initiate and implement improvement projects to add capabilities, improve quality or reduce costs of testing and related departmental processes.

Travel to the US for appropriate RF EMC test training. Expected to become engaged in the International Certification activity and process for Bose products in the region.



Education / Experience Requirements:


• BSEE or MSEE with  minimum of 5 years related experience

• Strong knowledge of basic EE theory.

• Strong interest in working within the EMC field.

• Hands-on experience in operating EMC test equipment is required.

• Experience in using and writing EMC-test equipment software, like Labview, EMC32, Tile or Visual Basic is preferable.

• Experience in performing EN55013/20/22/24 tests is preferable.

• Excellent EMC problem solving abilities using design and EMC experience.

• Ability to work independently.

• Must have a flexible style that accommodates working on multiple projects

• Prioritize multiple tasks and demonstrate a strong commitment to team projects is required.

• Excellent written and verbal English proficiency required.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word applications.   

• Experience with any facet of Audio systems is a plus.

是不是英语要求很高？一看因为要求把人吓住了。

还要编写测试软件，这个搞不懂是干什么的啊。
